Hey fine friends! A few weeks ago the lovely Sarah Fredricks sent me over a pair of fun, big turquoise earrings from her shop Goldie Lockes. Its pretty rare to see me wearing jewelry these days let alone earrings with grabby baby hands around but on Sundays at work I really love to wear a piece of jewelry that makes a statement. I chose the La Mer Hoops from Sarah's wonderful collection because being a jewelry designer myself I found that I have a good amount of larger stone/busy pieces of jewelry and was on the hunt for a more subtle pair of earrings. I was immediately very impressed with the simplicity of the turquoise with the impact of the large gold hoops so picking these were an easy choice. I took the chance and wore my new hoops with baby in tow the other day and to my thankful surprise they were all in one piece by the end of the day. Holy smokes, this doesn't ever happen folks! Miles naturally pawed at them a few times but even when he grabbed at them the hoops still kept their shape. Major mom approval points right there!
Sarah is currently working on making new pieces for her shop Goldie Lockes. Her new jewelry will feature African brass, Mexican clay and bone findings. I can't wait! Her other pieces are made with raw or polished stones and shells hand collected on her travels.
