Happy (late) half birthday!

My little pal turned a half a year older last week while on our road trip. I still can't believe that he's already a year and a half! I'm pretty sure that time sped up after his first birthday because he's grown like crazy in the past six months. 

Miles Waylon Wolf loves to laugh, dance and EAT! He tinkers with everything and is always making a mess. He is night owl and a late riser and especially loves to nap. He is a mischief maker and a bulldozer of a boy!

 For Miles' first birthday I wanted to document his growth and personality in a fun and unique way. I found our new blog sponsor, Moulage Collection, on Etsy and knew immediately that this was the perfect way to capture who Miles' is at this very moment in time. Steve and I had fun going over everything we wanted to list, laughing about all of Miles' funny quirks and who he got what from (definitely taking after Papa's love for Star Wars and skateboards).  I am so happy that we had this made and it will shortly be framed and hung up in his room as a sweet reminder of his first year. November was a tough month for me and the little one so it's really great to feel more balanced the last few weeks. Why was this past month so hard? Miles and I were a pair of crazy, emotional babies but December is feeling much more focused and fun and I'm digging it! Miles has been so awesome lately! His ADORABLE dancing on the coffee table has totally outweighed his shitty self proclaimed 12:30ish bedtime the last four nights. He's been a good boy though, teething and all. I try to indulge in all that is still my itty-bitty baby but am so proud and excited for my growing boy even when he's being a rascal. Steve and I have decided to only have one kiddo so to think that this is it, I will never ever have another baby Miles again, is sort of a hard one to swallow. I mean, goodness, I know he's only turning one but truthfully everything is going to change pretty dang fast. Steve feels it too.

 Oh, this little fella is growing in leaps lately. He is this close from walking and is taking baby steps everyday. He says "Mamama, MOM" and has just started to say "Da Dada!" He is an excellent eater and loves him some sweet potatoes.

One week from today!

Last night papa and I had a real good talk about what is on our to-do list for the next few days involving wedding and family plans.  Dude, this week is going to be heavy. HEAVY. 

Miles sat up by himself yesterday. Balance has been a tough one for my large headed friend but I think he has finally gotten it! While rearranging the art in his room I happened to look back and saw baby cakes sitting upright playing with a tiny coconut guitar. I pretty much melted into a proud mama puddle!
