Thrift shopper

I've been feeling a little burnt out from thrift stores since our trip a few weeks ago. How is this even possible? I don't know but I'm pretty sure this was the second time thrifting in the past three weeks I've been home. That's just crazy! We went to tons of thrift stores on the road and one of my main focuses was to make it a buying trip for my mall space. When we returned home I was pretty damn broke (hah!) and since my mall space is now full there's been no need to hit the thrifts as often as I normally go. But anyways, on Sunday I went thrifting by myself (absolutely heavenly!) and picked up all this from one Goodwill. I love finding baskets to stash Miles' toys in and you can't go wrong with too much denim or owls.

Thrifting along the USA

Thrifting through our country was amazing and one hell of an opportunity to buy for my mall space. Mostly everything I bought was to resell but some finds I just had to keep for myself like the two handmade Native American kachina dolls from a trading post in New Mexico (or maybe it was Arizona?) and the sweet leather vests and moccasins for my little pal. We ended up shipping the majority of my stuff back to my home and by the end of my four week trip I had accumulated over 50 pairs of shoes and boots to sell, not to mention accessories! In other words, we did real good! Ohio was hands down the best thrifting I've done in a long time. Incredible prices with unbelievable items. Albuquerque, New Mexico was a great score too!

I'm pretty certain that as a parent you buy your kiddo a million things and yourself just one.

We like to thrift, yes we do!

Check out the thrift haul I did on Wednesday! Next month Miles and I are going on a cross country road trip with my family so I've been on the hunt for new merchandise to fill up my mall space while I'm gone. I can't wait to share about my road trip in a few weeks. Ill be posting a couple cool posts about road trippin next week!

Weekend scores!

Between the rainy weather and Steve working all weekend, Miles and I took the opportunity to venture out of town to some of our favorite thrift spots and I think we did pretty awesome!

In LOVE with this toddler jacket for Miles next year!
So happy with the color and price of these Converse. Miles is a lucky kid!
Really cool 1980's Fisher Price Discovery Map that shows rotating photos of the states capitols, scenery, person, fun fact 1&2!

Weekly thrift finds

I am so in love with all of our colorful finds from last week! I found the eagle cushion at an estate sale for fifty cents! It's totally handmade and has wheels on the bottom too. I was so happy to find another large woven basket to store blankets in the living room and Miles has fun dragging it around. The clogs unfortunately don't fit (too small, too big dammit!) so I hauled them to the antique mall already but the Southwestern tapestry is a keeper! We're talking about updating our bedroom right now so I'm excited to incorporate this in our design.
I SCORED on these vintage state pennants while visiting my mom a few weeks ago. A huge pile at such a killer price and there was even an Oregon one too!
I picked up this super cool vintage pedal car for Miles and we already have big plans on restoring it for summer. Miles' feet don't quite reach yet but he's enjoyed climbing all over it and being pushed by papa.

Thrifting loot

Hi friends! I have lagged on sharing my thrifting finds from our trip to Las Vegas a few weeks ago but don't fret because here are a few of the goodies we scored plus some recent gems. The rain has made its return to the Pacific Northwest which means a bunch of staying in with arts and crafts, movies and working on baby cakes Halloween costume! Have I mentioned how thankful I am to be a stay at home mom!? Speaking of moms, my mama surprised me with a trip to visit us for our birthdays in a few weeks! We have been Skyping every other day so it's making me extra excited to see her. Plus, she's one hell of a thrift shopper :)
I got these radical booties for the shop plus a few more pairs not pictured.
I love the boots on the right! Why don't the boots I find ever fit me? Boo!
My mom picked these kooky boots out, insisting that they would sell and ya know what? They totally did and for a terrific price too!
These cutie pie finds are for my boy! The skeleton knit sweater is the best. So soft and cute!
I'm planning to make a few changes this winter at the antique mall including a larger vintage children's space. I'm really excited to bring in more kiddo clothes and shoes.
Ooh, I love the pink genie slippers!
Awesome Star Wars sheets for my boy when he gets a big kid bed.
This ones a keeper! I love the colors so much.
Ohh, this one too! I usually don't keep much for myself that I thrift but I'm a big sucker for comfy couch accessories.
And lastly I found this Darth Vader candy bucket for my baby boy a few days ago. Dad's sort of a major Star Wars nerd so he loved it too.

I love these pretty pretties! They have the sweetest wedge too.
Oooh, I really want to keep this one!!
 Sweet puzzle for the little.
I'm a sucker for bright, woven belts!
This little fella's bottom opens for either a candle or incense.
These babies are going straight to the mall space. Boo! Two sizes too small!

Thrifting finds!

Howdy friends, I can't believe its been a few months since our last thrift post! I can't believe Miles is almost already nine months old! I cant believe summer is almost over!! My, how time flies when your having fun. Anyways, I made sure to snap some photos of my favorite finds recently before I schlep them to the antique mall this week. Miles and I have the weekend to ourselves while papas away camping with buddies, so I guess we better spend it playing at the park and estate sale shopping. Bummer! Hope everyone's weekend is as sweet as ours.
Isn't this baseball tee AWESOME! Too bad its super small because this one would have been a definite keeper.

This Pendleton blanket was a great find. Its in beautiful shape and the colors are perfect for Autumn!
A sweet new toy for Miles.
Pretty moccasins in tip top condition.
How cute is this little fella!? And hes a bank too!
A cool pair of men's harness boots for the shop.
A few more owl friends for my boys room.
This is such a perfect belt. The beading and leather are absolutely beautiful.
Guess who these are for? We have a few more years till they fit but totally worth the wait!

Oh hey, pretty bowl!
Can one boy have too much denim? Nahhh!
