Twelve dollars well spent

Loooove these boots! (And so does Steve which is a little shocking but a major plus!!)

Picked these honeys up for $2!

Found these Colorado duck boots for $4 in great condition.

I was so excited to find these wooden toys for Miles that cost 50 cents for the lot.

 Sweet books for my boy!

Vintage tops for a buck a piece.

This children's western shirt is a gem! I'm not sure if I'm going to sell it or keep it but for $2 I couldn't resist.

Yay, Good luck everyone!

Messy day

Yesterday was one hell of a day! While out thrifting Miles had a poop explosion all over his car seat, pants, sweater, bum and back. Its sucked so bad. I left the diaper bag in the car and we were in the fitting room covered in poop but thankfully an employee helped me out and had us use their personal restroom to clean up. By the end of the day my head was pounding and I hadn't eaten since morning and felt horrible. When Steve came home I was all worked up that I took my frustration out on him. Poor papa was so tired from work that my attitude was not the way to welcome him home. Damn, just one of those hard days. Ive got to say though that Miles made my night so much better. He was such a terrific boy all day and by the end of the evening papa and I were laughing at funny things our boy was doing.

And also thank you so much Roxy for this lovely package for Miles!!
I'm falling a little behind this month on just about everything but within the next week Ill be sending Emily, Talia and Roxy their thrift exchange goodies.
For April I'll be doing another thrift exchange if anyone is interested?

Blue jean baby

Isn't this patchwork quilt darling? Scooped this little gem up yesterday for one dollar! I can't wait for long naps in the sun this summer with my babes on it. Ive been pining over warm weather and beautiful gardens and today we were so lucky to have a full day of sun and NO rain. Hell yes! Miles, papa and I took full advantage of the dreamy weather and spent our evening outdoors bbqing and laughing our asses off. Life is good.
Look at Miles sweet sweater from Emily over at The Beetle Shack! Thanks Em for the stripes and sweater, my favorites xoxo

Night off

This here mama had the whole evening to myself! I went to two thrift stores and seriously hit the vintage baby clothing jackpot, swung by a nearby plant nursery to purchase more beautiful succulents, then Target for a new pair of flats and lastly treated me self to delicious pastries down the street from our home. It was nice to have the night off from the wee one and with papa working all the time I know he enjoyed the alone time with Miles.

Red Head

So I took a few days off from the computer and it felt exceptionally great but I'm back and working on a new layout for the blog. Since our return from California, Portland hasn't been exactly doing it for me as far as the weather goes. So to restrain myself from going cray cray Ive come up with a few projects to keep me busy this week 1 2 (the first dresser) and  3. I'm going to be doing a super rad giveaway next week. Ive never done one before, what do you think?
Does anyone have any cleaver smoothie recipes or sites they love?

Look at my sweet boys swirly ginger hair. Swoon!

Happy Friday

Get a playlist! Standalone player Get Ringtones
Fridays are usually spent listening to records, pricing new merchandise for the store and leaving the house as little as possible. During the week days I'm running errands, starting craft projects and biting off more then I can chew. Weekends are for papa time and those are the best days ever. We like to go out for breakfast, maybe a garage sale or two, swing by the antique mall, spend lots of time smooching up our boy and try our hardest to stay up late. But Friday is my favorite day! There is some serious lazy time going on at our home this day. All of my errands are usually ran for the week so that baby and I can watch all the stupid sitcoms we want, dance to ZZ Top in our pajamas all day and take our time enjoying pesto, blue cheese and prosciutto grilled deliciousness!

sweet thing

I am such a happy mama, my boy is three months old today!

Fancy finds

Boots galore!
I picked up this complete Bingo game at an estate sale for 25 cents!!

Large letter D, Cadillac emblem, and a beautiful Vera tablecloth

I swear I find these southwestern blankets everywhere!
I'm in love with this shearling and leather children's vest.

I came across this funky telephone at a flea market for 4 bucks. We just added a land line to our home so this was a fun find for us.

A bag of beautiful hand towels for one dollar!! The two bellow are my favorites.

Ohhh La La! Look at a few of the goodies I brought home with me from our trip. My suitcase weighed close to 90 pounds so my mom is kindly shipping the rest of my finds including a stack of vintage childrens books, clothes for Miles and some knick knacks for our home. The majority of these goods will be sold at my antique mall space but I managed to hold on to some special items for our home.
